You may need to make your own mounting bracket to install Y Axis Scales. It's super easy, see installation picture below. Many people don't like the original one and they make their own to fit on machine

This is the scale installed on knee	A glass scale installed on the quill head. It's hard to install due to limited space, plus, I don't have any bracket on the quill, you have to make and modify your own. You can't glass scale shorter

4 Axis Glass Scale DRO in BP Mill

Promptly received the 4 axis DRO with the four glass scales. The instructions were fine. The instructions talk to you the installer with commonsense. You are not trying to read Chinese. The operation manual, I am still going though it, but is nicely put together again, without Chinese. The mounts that came with it, I only used two on the knee scale. I fabricated everything else with no problems. Installed in a day and powered on and off the races! Works fine and repeatable. I love the Z and Knee axis. The X and Y I have been used to from other machines. Really makes a difference. The DRO screen is clear and offers many features. As a home hobbyist, this kit meets the requirements I wanted to be able to dial in where I want, repeatable and accurate. I would recommend this to anyone.
